I'm Ben. I like making things. Especially things people enjoy or find helpful.
I usually make things for iPhone but I've more recently got interested in making things on the web too.
I've noticed that when coders build things for people it does not seem to end up in those people's best interests. Instead it usually makes someone else richer. The web seems like a tool that perhaps could help people to build things together, so I'm trying to find out a bit more about it.
And anyway, it's laughable that a developer of 30 years barely knows HTML (it's me). So I'm reading through HTML for People, which is a a lovely, simple, and free web book about writing HTML.

Water
Something else I like is water. I like being near it, or in it. Under it or on it. Especially the sea. I needed an image to test out the `img` tag, so I've picked this picture of the ocean.
